Question 1

Is this the latest Spider-Man film?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it's the fourth with Tom Holland in the suit. Kids who know the earlier films will be keen to see this one, and it stands on its own well enough if they are new to the series.

Question 2

What time is the English session?

Accepted Answer

From Friday 2 October the English (VOSE) session at Mooby Balmes is daily at 5:30pm, and you are out around 8:05pm. Before that it is 6:55pm on Wednesday 30 September, and 4pm or 6:55pm on Thursday 1 October. Sunday 4 October adds a 12pm matinee. Times shift from week to week, so look for the VOSE label when you book.

Question 3

Is it right for my kid's age?

Accepted Answer

It carries a 12 rating in Spain and is pitched at kids around 12 and up. The story and some of the action suit older kids best, and at about two and a half hours it is a long sit for little ones, so it is worth waiting until they can happily sit through the full film.

Question 4

Is Wednesday a good day to go?

Accepted Answer

If your week is flexible, yes. Wednesday tickets are 6.50 euros for everyone, the cheapest day of the week at Mooby Balmes. Kids under 13 pay 8 euros on any other day.

Question 5

Is there food at the cinema, or should we eat first?

Accepted Answer

There is a snack bar with popcorn and drinks, and Carrer de Balmes has cafes and casual spots a few minutes' walk away if you want a proper bite before the film.

Question 6

How do we get to Mooby Balmes?

Accepted Answer

It sits at the top of Carrer de Balmes near Plaça Kennedy, a short walk from the FGC Avinguda Tibidabo and El Putxet stops, with a car park in the building.
