Question 1

What time is the English session?

Accepted Answer

From Friday 2 October, English (VOSE) sessions at Mooby Balmes run daily at 3:50pm and 6pm. The 3:50pm has you out around 5:50pm, the 6pm around 8pm. Through Thursday 1 October the times are 4pm and 6:20pm, and Sunday 4 October adds a 12:10pm matinee. Look for the VOSE label when you book, that is the original English audio with Spanish subtitles.

Question 2

Is it right for my kid's age?

Accepted Answer

It is rated for ages 7 and up. There are some tense moments with the Manananggal, a monster from Philippine folklore, and at about 110 minutes it is a longer sit, so it suits kids who are happy through a full-length film.

Question 3

Is Wednesday a good day to go?

Accepted Answer

If your week is flexible, yes. Wednesday tickets are 6.50 euros for everyone, the cheapest day of the week at Mooby Balmes, and there are English sessions at 4pm and 6:20pm on Wednesday 30 September and at 3:50pm and 6pm on Wednesday 7 October. Kids under 13 pay 8 euros on any other day.

Question 4

Is there food at the cinema, or should we eat first?

Accepted Answer

There is a snack bar with popcorn and drinks, and Carrer de Balmes has cafes and casual spots a few minutes' walk away if you want a proper bite before the film.

Question 5

How do we get to Mooby Balmes?

Accepted Answer

Mooby Balmes is at the top of Carrer de Balmes near Plaça Kennedy, a short walk from the FGC Avinguda Tibidabo and El Putxet stops, with a car park in the building.
