How do we know which shops are taking part?

In 2025 the shopkeepers' association (ACIB) handed out a map of participating stores at Plaça del Poeta Boscà, and around twenty member shops took part. The 2026 map and meeting point haven't been published yet.

What time should we go?

The 2026 city listing gives only the date. In 2025 it all happened in Plaça del Poeta Boscà: roasted chestnuts at 5:45pm, a family music and dance show at 6pm, and the candy route from 7pm.

Do kids need a costume?

It isn't required, but ACIB's own invitation opens with "Estàs disfressad@?" (are you in costume?), so dressing up is the expected look.

Barceloneta metro (L4) is about a 6-minute walk from Plaça del Poeta Boscà, in the middle of the neighborhood's grid of streets.

About

Kids in costume go from shop to shop through Barceloneta asking for candy, on the evening of Friday, October 30. The shopkeepers' association puts it on with the neighborhood's school parent groups and local festival committee. The 2026 start time and meeting point aren't posted yet. In 2025 it started with roasted chestnuts at 5:45pm and a family music and dance show at 6pm, then the candy route through about twenty shops.
