Is this a good first Harry Potter for my kid?

It is a lovely way in: the original English voices on a big screen, the way you remember it. Reading-age kids follow the subtitles with ease, which is why we'd call it best from about 7 up; the 152-minute runtime is a long sit for younger ones.

When can we go, and are tickets on sale?

Yes, tickets are on sale. The English (VOSE) session plays daily at 6:20pm from August 28 to September 3, Mooby's Back to Hogwarts week. Look for the VOSE label when you book, that is the original English audio with Spanish subtitles.

Is Wednesday a good day to go?

If your week is flexible, yes. Wednesday September 2 falls inside the run, and Wednesday tickets are 6.50 euros for everyone, the cheapest day of the week at Mooby Balmes. Kids under 13 pay 8 euros on any other day.

Mooby Balmes is at the top of Carrer de Balmes near Plaça Kennedy, a short walk from the FGC Avinguda Tibidabo and El Putxet stops, with a car park in the building.
