Which ones are confirmed for 2026?

The Barceloneta toy and games fair (December 5 to 8), the Barceloneta carol singing (Saturday, December 12) and the three Christmas trains. The fairs in Sants, Sant Antoni, Creu Coberta, Les Corts, Gràcia and Sarrià usually post dates in late November; the map shows their 2025 dates for now.

How do the Christmas trains work?

Small road trains loop through the neighborhood on a set route. In Nou Barris there are three routes from Passeig de Fabra i Puig, daily except January 1, 10:30am to 2pm and 5pm to 8pm, €1 for under-12s and €3 for adults. In Prosperitat the train leaves La Rambleta, 10am to 1pm and 5pm to 8pm, €3 a ticket. La Verneda's leaves from Carrer de Cantàbria at Carrer d'Huelva; times are not posted yet.

Where can kids beat a Caga Tió?

In 2025 the Sants fair had one on December 23 and 24, and many neighborhood fairs set one up for a day or two. For a giant Tió on many days, the Santa Llúcia fair by the cathedral is the best bet.

Are they worth a special trip?

Mostly they are neighborhood fairs, best if you live nearby or are passing. The Sants fair, which runs for almost three weeks, and the Barceloneta toy fair are the ones worth crossing town for.

About

Beyond the big fair by the cathedral, almost every Barcelona neighborhood puts on its own Christmas fair, run by local shopkeepers and residents. The stalls are smaller and friendlier, often with a Caga Tió for kids to beat, hot chocolate, and a royal page collecting letters. Little kids also love the Christmas trains, small road trains that loop through the neighborhood past the lights.
