What you need to know
- Mornings and early afternoons are the calm window. The decorated streets belong to families until the dinner crowds arrive, and they are easy to walk with a stroller early in the day.
- Funfair rides at the Jardinets de Gràcia, at the top of Passeig de Gràcia, open 11:00 to 23:00 daily through Aug 21 and later on festa nights.
- The squares run a daytime children's program (activitats infantils), so there is more to do than admire the decorations.
- Correfoc Infantil is child-scaled, letting younger kids join the fire-run tradition safely.
About
Barcelona's most famous neighborhood festival runs August 15 to 21, 2026, across decorated streets in Gràcia. Residents build elaborate themed street decorations competing for best-decorated prizes, ranging from underwater worlds to historical recreations. The program includes free daytime children's activities (activitats infantils) in the squares, gegants parades, and a Correfoc Infantil (child-scale fire run).
